Ashley Hutchings Rainbow ChasersRainbow Chasers were formed by the legendary Ashley Hutchings (of Fairport Convention) in the late summer of 2004.

Very quickly they produced their first album 'Some Colours Fly' which was received very well and was consequently toured in the UK and in Italy.

The Rainbow Chasers new album, “Fortune Never Sleeps”, was released on the Talking Elephant label in August 2006. Chris Leslie and Ric Sanders from Fairport have recorded a very special live instrumental track, “The Lost Bagpipe”, with Jo and Ruth from the band and Chris Leslie has provided a wonderful mandolin solo on a recording of Nik Kershaw’s “Billy”. With the exception of the Kershaw track, the album is all self-penned and there are 12 tracks plus one poem on the CD.

The Rainbow Chasers now have a presence on Myspace. There are four soundfiles that you can listen to, taken from the new album “Fortune Never Sleeps”,

PorvariWhen a rock man met a folk man and they were still talking to each other after 20 years they thought they'd maybe use their differences to make something really unique.
And it worked - Porvari.

They are vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Sam Whimpenny and multi instrumentalist Simon Meader.

A typical Porvari performance is crafted from Sam's infinitely varied 100% original songs: lyrically rich and melodically diverse. These are set neatly against Simon's dadesque humour where any amount of fairy dust is added using guitar, mandolin, harmonica, percussion or anything that comes to hand at the time. The result is unique and always entertaining: each performance running that most perfect of gauntlets from heart tugging high intensity emotion to farcical audience participation pieces commonly from one minute to the next.

One thing can be guaranteed: Porvari will entertain you.
