One of the highlights of the Eastbourne Lammas Festival is its parade along Eastbourne Seafront on the saturday. In 2007 it setting off from the Pier at around 12:45, and was received at The Winter Garden at 2pm by Eastbourne's Mayor, Councillor Mary Pooley.

Everyone joins in - the dancers; drummers; musicians; Eastbourne Giants, accompanied again in 2007 by special guests; as well as members of the public wearing costume or flowered-circlets, or just plain old jeans and Lammas T-shirts.

Why not join in?

Dust out your old fancy-dress costumes, or make something from scratch, wear flowers in your hair, or crowns, tiaras, feathers - whatever. Paint your faces and strap on your fairy wings.
